A two-vehicle crash on July 16th claimed the life of a 36-year-old Muncie man.  The collision happened around 3 P.M. on state road 67, the Muncie Bypass, in the area of Sam Pierce Chevrolet between CR 700 W. and 800 W.

Delaware County Deputies arrived first at the scene along with EMS and Fire. They then requested Indiana State Police Pendleton District Crash Reconstruction Investigators.  The preliminary investigation showed that a westbound 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by Colin Estes, age 34 of Anderson, drove left of center for an unknown reason and hit an eastbound 2007 Ford Cargo van, driven by Kevin Noble, age 36, of Muncie, in the left lane, head-on.

The two vehicles hit head-on, driver side to driver side, and Kevin Noble succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  Colin Estes was transported from the scene to I.U. Health’s Ball Memorial Hospital with what was believed to be life-threatening injuries.
