Roy T. Tabor

For nearly 40 years, Roy Tabor has focused his practice on helping families deal with the life-changing events resulting from personal injuries or wrongful death. Roy has helped hundreds of families navigate the legal system and has obtained substantial settlements and verdicts to help compensate them for their losses. Roy is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.

During the course of his expansive career, Roy has received numerous honors and distinctions, including being selected to the 2015 list of the Nation's Top One Percent of attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. He was also named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, of which there are less than 1% of U.S. lawyers. Roy has also been selected for inclusion in the Indiana Super Lawyers® list.

Roy serves with distinction as a Board Member Emeritus of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and is a Fellow in the Indiana College of Advocacy. Because of his success and leadership in representing families who suffer tragic losses from semi-tractor trailer collisions, he is one of few members of the National Advisory Board of APITLA (Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers). He is one of three Indiana lawyers to be honored with the distinction of Law Dragon, a listing of the 500 leading lawyers in America. He has been AV Preeminent® Peer-Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and was honored in 2012 as one of the preeminent plaintiffs’ litigation practitioners in the country by Benchmark Plaintiff.

Roy is an approved personal injury counsel for UAW Legal Services and has been a founding member of the AARP Legal Services Program. Roy also counsels members of the Legal Club of America who have questions about wrongful death and personal injury matters. He serves as President of the Andrew P. Winzenread Scholarship Fund and President of the Gary Dudley Memorial Scholarship Fund to help deserving children of law enforcement families attend the college of their choice. He has authored over 50 publications on various topics in personal injury and wrongful death law. He is a sought-after speaker and lecturer with the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum and many other schools and civic groups.

Roy grew up in southern Indiana and graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University. He graduated with honors from I.U. Law School in 1979.
