Multi-Million Dollar Recovery

The Right Representation- Motorcycle Collision results in a multi-million dollar settlement

While our client was riding his motorcycle northbound on State Road 37 in Johnson County, Indiana. At that same time and place, a driver in the course of his employment in a Chevy Silverado owned by his employer, carelessly and negligently failed to yield the right-of-way, turning directly into the path of our client's motorcycle. As a result, our client was unable to avoid colliding head first with the mid-section of the truck. Upon impact, our client was ejected from the motorcycle and thrown to the pavement where he was then run over by another vehicle traveling northbound.

Liability in this case was clear, and the driver of the Chevy Silverado was cited by the Johnson County Sheriff's department for failure to yield the right-of-way at a through highway. Because the driver of the Silverado truck was in the scope of his employment at the time of the collision, his company was vicariously liable for his negligent acts.

Our client sustained severe injuries including but not limited to a brain injury, multiple leg fractures, multiple fractures in both upper extremities, and loss of vision in his right eye. As a result, he was rendered 100% permanently disabled. His wife of twenty eight years also suffered significantly due to her husband's injuries.

With Tabor Law Firm's representation, our client was able to recover a multi-million dollar sum from the truck driver and his employer. Additionally Tabor Law Firm assisted his wife in recovering a six figure settlement with the Defendants.
