Recovery for a Wrongful Death in Shelby County, Indiana.

Tabor Law Firm represented the parents of a minor who was killed in an auto accident on Interstate 74 in Shelby County, Indiana. She was a passenger in a vehicle that struck the end of a guardrail after the driver drove from the paved portion of the roadway into the grassy median, and then attempted to return to the roadway, resulting in the collision with the guardrail. When the car struck the guardrail, it spun back into the roadway and twice more collided with the guardrail, resulting in the minor's death.

The above described collision was a direct and proximate result of the carelessness and negligence of the driver of the vehicle (the Defendant), including driving too fast for the circumstances, failing to stay within the traveled lanes of the highway, failing to properly steer and brake her vehicle, failing to keep her vehicle under control, operating her vehicle while fatigued, and operating her vehicle off the roadway and into a guardrail. The vehicle's owner was also identified as a Defendant due to his negligence in the care, maintenance, inspection and repair of the vehicle being driven the first Defendant. The collision was a direct and proximate result of the carelessness and negligence of both Defendants.

Tabor Law Firm represented the parents in a wrongful death claim against the Defendants and was successful in obtaining a recovery that would help them with medical expenses, psychological counseling costs, funeral and burial expenses and the loss of their son's services, love and companionship.
