Indianapolis Police Issues Over 80 tickets in 2 days for Speeding in School Zones

Indianapolis police say they've issued over 80 tickets over a two day period as part of what they're calling "Project Blitz."

The project is focusing on speeding in school zones and reminding drivers to pay attention to the roads and where they are driving.

As part of Project Blitz, police are monitoring active school zones and riding on school buses to see firsthand how often drivers are ignoring school bus arms. Drivers are also being ticketed by patrolling officers for those violations.

Officers will continue Project Blitz for the next few weeks and will continue to monitor school zones throughout the remainder of the school year.
